Part of the Outer Banks rich history include the pirates that visited the Outer Banks. One of the most famous aspects of these pirates were the use of the treasure chest. Pirates are well known for the practice of storing their property in a treasure chest and burying it at the beach for safe keeping until they were ready to return to claim their belongings.
Now, visitors to the OBX can enjoy the same benefit and advantage without any of the hassle or inconvenience in a new service called BeachBox.
BeachBox is a new, cutting edge service available on the OBX. BeachBox owners sign up on the BeachBox website and choose a storage/delivery plan. Unlike the pirates of old, owners of a BeachBox do not have to dig holes or make treasure maps to find and retrieve their stored belongings on the beach. Owners use their private online dashboard to schedule delivery/pick ups of their BeachBox. The BeachBox and your belongings are delivered right to you. Owners can also keep track of what belongings they have in their BeachBox right on their online dashboard.
Owners pay a one time fee of $85.00. That includes a BeachBox, the initial delivery and pick up of your BeachBox when it's time to return it to the BeachBox Facility. Your BeachBox is guaranteed for life and include insurance of it's content for up to $100. Owners then choose a storage/delivery plan. The Captains plan costs $99 annually and includes one free delivery/pick up.
BeachBox is brought to the Outer Banks by it's owner, Jason Edwards. “I'm excited to provide a service that makes guests stays more enjoyable and less stressful. It's nice to have the comforts of home when you're on vacation.” Joining Jason in bringing the BeachBox to the OBX is area local, Renee Slater. "Visitors that come to the Outer Banks don't just come here for the Beaches. The OBX is like a home away from home. They should have the convenience of having personal items with them at their resorts."
