Empex Watertoys® Was Challenged with Creating Something New for the Waterpark Industry That Was Refreshing and Unique
Fortaleza, Brazil, February 04, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Empex Watertoys® was challenged with creating something new for the waterpark industry that was refreshing and unique. Young children are a major part of the waterpark experience and a group that is often forgotten among the plethora of exciting water rides available for the older kids and adults.
The industry needed something new and cutting edge for this young age group, something that would complement the many events in today’s waterparks, a hook that would make the kids the driving force for parents to the visit the park over and over.
“Real excitement for kids, at their small age, is when they are allowed to be in charge, to make something happen. We wanted to create something that would empower the kids to create the event. This is very powerful especially when you add water,” states Wyeth Tracy, president of Empex Watertoys®.
The design challenge therefore was to use the same successful chlorine resistant materials to create a new design that would take the experience to the next level of colorful water excitement.
A new, zany array of fun loving kids water play features from the design team at Empex Watertoys® was then combined into a dynamic water playground called AQUACIRCUS®.
Empex has created a unique new line of interactive watertoys under the trademark "Aquanetics™", where the kids can turn a hand wheel and produce different sprays, water flows, and kinetic effects such as turning pelton wheels, spinners, gears and pinwheels to create a zany effect of water motion. Aquawizz™, Aquanoodle™, Aquaswirl™ and Aquamill™ are four new structures in the Aquanetic line.
Incorporating several Aquanetic structures in a new expanded curvilinear Aquadek, Empex designers have created their latest concept, the "Aquacircus®". The attraction includes a climb and slide structure which provides a myriad of different slide experiences and 45 creative interactive activities. Added to this event are the "Aquaclunes™", zany spray clowns, Aquajetz™, interactive Watertoys® and Aquatons® spray features which surround the structure.
A series of automated control manifolds, operated by activation domes, when the kids touch them, create an ever changing water display throughout the attraction. The resulting visual is as much fun for the players as it is for the spectators.
Beachpark Waterpark, South America’s largest and most innovative waterpark located in Fortaleza, Brazil, wanted an enhanced children’s area for the waterpark and Aquacircus® looked like it would fit the bill.
With the unforgettable support of Joao Gentil and Murilo Pascoal of Beachpark Brazil, Empex constructed its first 12,000 sq ft Aquacircus® project called ACQUA CIRCO in January 2011 and opened this year to rave reviews.
