Free Renewable Energy Grant Workshop
Kingsport, TN, February 04, 2012 --(PR.com)-- The Tennessee Small Business Development Center (TSBDC) at ETSU and the Kingsport Office of Small Business Development & Entrepreneurship (KOSBE) and Aries Energy will host a Renewable Energy Grant Workshop on Friday, February 17 from 8:30 – 9:30 a.m., at the Kingsport Chamber of Commerce, 151 E. Main Street, downtown.
The workshop is offered free of cost, but registration is required.
Attendees will learn how to determine project eligibility and how they can receive grant-writing assistance.
A clean energy power solution, Proton Power’s Cellulose to Hydrogen Power (CHyP) System is discussed. This is an innovation and sustainable technology designed and manufactured in Tennessee turning garbage into clean energy. A new Tennessee grant provides financial assistance to install and construct energy projects such as the CHyP Biomass to Power technology.
If you have a monthly electricity bill over $7,500, produce a cellulose waste stream such as: wood, sawdust, paper, food and/or any plant material or have a boiler system (for heat or electricity) then you should attend. Examples include businesses involved in municipal solid waste – food processing, cooking facilities, campus facilities, large manufactures, hospitals, hotels and universities.
The event is free and open to the public, but seating is limited. Advanced registration is required and must be received by February 15, 2012. Anyone interested can register with Marybeth McLain at mmclain@kosbe.org or call (423) 392-8825 for more information.
It is the intent of KOSBE to be the go-to organization in the Tri-Cities for small business owners and entrepreneurs who want to start or grow their businesses, by creating and developing the right tools and resources and cultivating the right partnerships. In partnership with Tennessee Small Business Development Centers (TSBDC) at ETSU, KOSBE can more effectively serve the needs of entrepreneurs and small businesses.
