Berlin-Based Band "PHUONGSTILLE" Relaunches as "DOWN TO NINE," Announce Debut for 2012

Berlin, Germany, February 13, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Berlin. German band PHUONGSTILLE has officially announced its relaunch as DOWN TO NINE. The band, which has been playing for over three years and has built up a fan base in the Berlin area is planning to launch its debut album in the first half of 2012.

"The name change was pending a long time, it was the search for a new name that took us months," says guitarist Jonas. He and his colleagues went through hundreds of ideas and hours and hours of brainstorming. "DOWN TO NINE is not just sexier as a name, it also pays tribute to the things we've seen in the last three years, the time that has fused the band together," says Johannes, their singer. The name PHUONGSTILLE, referencing bass player Phuong had been a name that the band had never intended to keep forever.

Meanwhile, DOWN TO NINE is hitting the studio for a last recording session. The album will then go into post-production. "We know it's taking us a long time to finish that record," says drummer Lukas, "but, hell, it's gonna be worth it."
