TTR Sotheby’s International Realty Announces 2011 Results, Predicts Healthy Market in 2012
Washington, DC, February 08, 2012 --(PR.com)-- TTR Sotheby’s International Realty today proudly announced that its 2011 sales increased 25% over 2010. The firm projects 2012 sales well in excess of $1 billion, and the Washington DC area real estate market to be healthy and to continue to outperform most other US markets in 2012.
With the number of available homes for sale in the DC metro area at the lowest point in six years and only 3.28 months of available inventory (compared to over 6 months nationally), the prospect of increased development in the area in 2012 combined with interest rates at continued historic lows are reasons for great optimism for the region’s real estate market.
“We achieved several important milestones in 2011,” said Michael Rankin, one of the firm’s managing partners. “In addition to the major increase in sales, we recruited thirty of the city’s top agents and opened a new office which, after only six months, already leads the downtown market. We greatly expanded our Maryland and Virginia brokerages as well.”
In addition to listing and selling some of the Mid-Atlantic’s finest real estate, TTR Sotheby’s International Realty further expanded is commitment to the community in 2011 by sponsoring a broad range major philanthropic events benefitting important community organizations such as the Trust for the National Mall, the McLean Project for the Arts, CharityWorks, the Corcoran Gallery, Life with Cancer, the Taste of Friendship Heights and many others.
TTR Sotheby’s International Realty was recently recognized by Real Trends as one of the top 150 brokerage firms in the United States.
The Sotheby’s International Realty network currently has more than 11,000 sales associates located in over 500 offices in the United States and 40 other countries and territories.
