Cru Cellars Debuts New Food Menu
Cru Cellars, South Tampa’s best boutique wine bar, has expanded its menu from cheese and charcuterie to a full food menu of savory small entrée-style dishes freshly-prepared and created to pair with expertly-selected wine.
Tampa, FL, February 09, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Cru Cellars will debut its new food menu of savory small entrée-style dishes freshly-prepared and created to pair with expertly-selected wines at a kickoff party featuring wine specials and live music on Thursday, February 16 from 6-10 p.m.
South Tampa’s best boutique wine bar partnered up with In Bloom Catering and Creative Food Concepts chefs Hope Montgomery Ruhe and Jason Ruhe to expand the menu from cheese and charcuterie to include Roasted Beet, Goat Cheese and Arugula Salad, House Cured Salmon and Deviled Eggs, and Roasted Bone Marrow with Roasted Garlic – an item rarely seen on menus in Tampa.
“In Bloom has been preparing amazing dishes for our special events and private parties since we opened,” Cru Cellars Owner and Certified Sommelier Jen Bingham said. “We knew Hope and Jason could help us come up with a new menu great for sharing and trying new things that also complements the wine.”
Hope, a University of Tampa alumni, and Tampa-native Jason have been in business together for more than seven years and are passionate about the farm-to-table movement— cooking with as many local organic ingredients as possible.
“We believe our partnership with Cru Cellars has been amazingly positive because we all have a true passion for what we do,” Hope Montgomery Ruhe said. “We sincerely care about delivering a quality experience to those we serve.”
And for the cheese lovers, Cru Cellars has expanded its menu to include a Farmer’s Platter a mix and match of cheeses, cured meats and small bites. The wine bar’s newly-hired chef, Josh Burton formerly of Timpano Chophouse in Tampa, and the staff prepare everything in house.
“Our hummus is the best because it’s made with Italian white beans, giving it a lighter, fresher taste,” Bingham said. “The salads and bruschetta have been really popular with our customers already.”
At the menu kickoff party, every customer will receive half off the first glass of wine with the purchase of any of the new menu items and $3 off additional glasses. For more information about the event, log onto www.crucellarstampa.com or call 813-831-1117.
