“When we took over The Bell, we knew we were taking a gamble by giving up everything we’d worked for in London. But after an immense amount of hard work and careful planning, we’ve transformed the hotel into a vibrant, stylish place with great food and luxurious accommodation,” explained Fergus.
“Of course, none of this would have been possible without the hard work and dedication of our staff, who’ve all been brilliant,” he added.
Among the couple’s plans to put The Bell on the map, is the launch of a brand new website which tells you everything you need to know about the historic hotel. The Bell is situated in the centre of Charlbury, an idyllic little town on the edge of the ancient Wychwood Forest. Oxford, Chipping Norton, Burford and Woodstock are all nearby, while the magnificent Blenheim Palace is just five miles away.
Just over an hour by train from London Paddington, the hotel has become a popular venue for those seeking an escape from the pressures of modern day life.
Since Fergus and Sarah took over, the hotel has undergone extensive renovation to provide the luxurious accommodation expected of an AA rated hotel, making it one of the premier country hotels in Oxfordshire.
