Marin Services for Women is Closing Its Doors

Larkspur, CA, February 07, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Marin Services for Women announces today that it will be closing its doors as soon as all existing clients have been transferred to other facilities. MSW has provided a unique healing community for women with substance abuse, trauma and other mental health issues for over 33 years. Financial difficulties have plagued the organization for several years. After attempts to partner with other Marin agencies failed, the board of directors made the decision to cease operations.

MSW will work with SAMHSA/CSAT to transfer its recent grant award to another Marin facility (to be determined), so as to keep the grant money for pregnant and postpartum women in the county.
