Atec Introduces Real-Time PDA Inspection Solution
Leading Training, Inspection and Certification Company Launches smArTEC System Using Proven, Breakthrough Technology
Houston, TX, February 11, 2012 --(PR.com)-- ATEC Training & Certification Services, a subsidiary of EUTEX International, and exclusive provider of internationally accepted hazardous-area training, announced today a breakthrough system of a real-time PDA inspection and maintenance in-field solution, called smArTECsm. The proven, patented software, compatible with a variety of PDA devices, allows for more control over field operations, increased productivity and better quality inspections, maintenance and audits.
“Our company was founded on the philosophy, 'safety first,' and we're proud to be an industry pioneer when it comes to introducing ways to improve the productivity and quality regarding inspections and certifications,” says ATEC General Manager, Brian Duffy. “Our smArTEC system allows our clients who conduct onsite inspections, maintenance, and audits such as safety assessments to perform these operations more efficiently and thoroughly.”
Wayne Mayo, Senior Instructor for ATEC adds, “ATEC has independently pioneered this software from inception to field use and we are proud to be the only company in the USA to provide such a working and reliable system.”
This industry-first software is designed for the data to be transmitted in real-time from the field, through any of a number of ruggedized mobile devices and cell phones. The real-time aspect allows inspection or maintenance information to be recorded – including video and audio evidence – and viewed instantaneously by managers, supervisors and project teams from anywhere in the world. The inspection procedures and protocols can also be adapted or changed remotely, allowing on-the-fly control of the entire process.
The smArTECsm system allows the information to be exported in various formats, (word, excel, etc), and for the creation of multiple reports such as GPS locations, statistics, graphs, etc., and is adaptable for any type of inspection. Various standard inspections – such as hazardous area equipment – have already been developed and are ready for immediate implementation.
The smArTEC solution is available immediately and is currently being used throughout North America on various projects.
