Dr. Naseer Homoud Ranked 16 in Qatar Power List of Arabian Business

Dr. Homoud, the only Jordanian national, rubs shoulders in the Qatar Power List 2012 with other powerful persons of State of Qatar including media moguls, bankers, and heads of many governmental bodies.

Born in the city of Irbid (Jordan), known for its high levels of education, Dr Naseer Homoud moved to Qatar in 2001. His meteoric rise in the life of Qatar is story of great initiatives and perseverance. Initially, Dr. Homoud planned to provide dental healthcare only, however, he expanded in the real estate sector, building an empire with the aim of providing affordable housing in the region. His company, “The Wall for Investment and Real Estate Development,” has kept pace with the growth of the economy in Qatar. His Consultant Dental Centre in Doha has become synonymous with an affordable smile. His idea to build bridges with Spanish companies made the Spanish International Business & Trading Centre (SIBTC) an essential component of trade between Arabs and Spanish-speaking world.
Philanthropy is close his heart. His involvement in charitable and philanthropic works goes back to many years. Late Jordanian King Hussein bin Talal honored him for medical services to orphans in 1997. He is supporting various programmes concerning orphans, disabled, elderly, women and homeless. Dr. Homoud has also contributed in planting of one of the most important forests in Jordan that had suffered a man-made fire.
He was regional director of Intergovernmental Institution for the use of Micro-algae Spirulina Against Malnutrition (IIMSAM) and currently serving several internationally renowned organizations in different capacities.
Dr. Homoud says, “We must share these bounties of Almighty God with the people who need them most. This is what God has ordained us. Help comes to those who help others in their hour of need.”
Dr. Homoud has also assisted the people of Gaza Strip, and victims of natural calamities in Japan, Haiti and many regions of Africa.
