Thompson & Knight Partner Awarded Civic Achievement Honor by University of Houston

Houston, TX, February 11, 2012 --(PR.com)-- The law firm of Thompson & Knight LLP is proud to announce Partner Ricky A. Raven has been awarded the 2012 Dr. Marguerite Ross Barnett Alumni Achievement Award presented by the University of Houston African American Studies Program.

The award, which recognizes civic and social commitment to excellence as an alumnus of the University of Houston, will be presented at the Seventh Annual African American Studies Scholarship Banquet on May 4, 2012.

Raven is a Partner in Thompson & Knight’s Trial Practice Group in Houston. He focuses his practice on civil litigation, toxic tort, products liability, personal injury, and white collar criminal defense. He has more than 25 years of experience in the resolution of complex litigation involving multiple plaintiffs and multiple defendants, as well as in handling single-party disputes, and he has first-chaired more than 100 jury trials to verdict.

Raven is a member of Thompson & Knight’s Houston Office Executive Committee and Diversity and Inclusion Committee.
