Paul Fraser Collectibles Acquires Key Piece of Cuban History
Paul Fraser Collectibles is proud to announce the addition of a unique pre-revolutionary Cuban flag, signed by both Fidel Castro and Che Guevara, to its holding of investment grade collectibles.
Bristol, United Kingdom, February 15, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Paul Fraser Collectibles is pleased to add to its holding of investment grade collectibles a unique flag which is considered to be one of the most important pieces of Cuban History in existence. The flag is inscribed by both Fidel Castro and Che Guevara, and measures 23" x 12½".
Castro has written, "We will not let anybody impede the triumph that is coming," signing his name beneath. Guevara has added, "We will only stop the fight when our flag waves free and sovereign," also signing his name below.
The exact origin of the flag has been the subject of long term debate, with some experts believing it to be the original flag from the Granma, the boat used to transport Castro, Guevara and 80 other fighters of the Cuban Revolution, from Mexico to Cuba in 1956, to overthrow the regime of Fulgencio Batista.
“To find both signatures, and their handwritten pre-revolutionary quotes, on such a historic piece is a once in a lifetime opportunity. No doubt about it, this is one of the finest pieces of Cuban History in existence - it's a true Museum quality item,” said Paul Fraser Collectibles Director Mr. Adrian Roose.
