Calloway's Nursery Hosts Gardenfest, a Day-Long Gardening Event in Dallas/Fort Worth
Calloway's Nursery hosts its second annual Gardenfest event with local and national gardening presenters.
Fort Worth, TX, February 15, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Calloway’s Nursery is calling all Texas gardeners to join the garden center for its second educational Gardenfest event on Saturday, Feb. 25. Gardenfest is a full day of educational gardening presentations from local and national industry experts that is free to the gardening public held at select Calloway’s Nursery locations in Arlington, Hurst, Flower Mound and Plano.
During this day-long event award-winning landscape designer and author, Scott Calhoun will share his design insights on how to beautify a garden with six plants or fewer. Chris Wiesinger will return this year to share his stories about heirloom bulbs. A limited number of books written by Calhoun and Wiesinger will be available for sale. Faith Savage of Syngenta Flowers will provide information on the meaning of color. Edible gardening expert, Frank Trevino, of Blue Label Herbs will show gardeners how to spice up their life with herb gardening tips on the specific varieties that perform well in Texas. Mark Chamblee, who is from the rose capitol of Texas – Tyler, will teach gardeners how to grow low-maintenance roses. Kim Treiber and Ron Newble will both share tips and tricks on how to design eye-catching container gardens.
