Six Organisations of the European Union Benefit from Software Development and Maintenance Services Provided by SIVECO Romania
The multiannual value of these projects exceed 10 million Euro
Bucharest, Romania, February 16, 2012 --(PR.com)-- SIVECO Romania is the only Romanian company that develops projects for important organisations of the European Union. The value of these projects exceeds 10 million Euro.
“We are confident that we offer the best IT products and services and that we can assume responsibilities. Few companies can answer to the requirements of the European Commission organisations, from financial and performances point of view. The implementations done by our company at national and international level have become examples of best practice, as are based on know-how, clear objectives, effective planning, optimal resources allocation and an excellent communication strategy. Some of the best software specialists are working for our company, the Romanian IT education being appreciated at European level,” said Irina Socol, President & CEO SIVECO Romania.
SIVECO Romania has concluded two years ago the first direct contracts with the Publication Office of the European Union, for development and maintenance of information system for European research portal, CORDIS. The portal is the main source of information for the research programs financed by European Commission, recording three million accessed pages and 500.000 documents downloaded every month.
Within two projects started recently, SIVECO Romania and Sword Technologies Luxembourg provide the Publication Office of the European Union with development and maintenance services for different IT applications. The Publication Office of the European Union publishes daily the Official Journal of the European Union in 23 languages, and the Union’s General Activity Report.
SIVECO is part of a contract with the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), located in Germany, for providing software services for collaborative document, recordings and workflows management applications. EASA is the key institution of the European Union, responsible for aviation safety.
In collaboration with Abaco Italy, SIVECO carries out a project for Eurostat - the Statistical Office of the European Union – for the implementation of Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
Together with Astec Ireland, SIVECO has signed in 2011 a consultancy contract for the Jaspers program (Joint Assistance to Support Projects in European Regions). The program is implemented by the European Commission, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (ERBD), the European Investment Bank and the European Investment Fund (EIB Group). Jaspers offers expertise for helping new member states to benefit of a maximum funding, providing support for project design and preparation, up to the point where the funding decision is made.
Another important project developed by SIVECO Romania is Dolceta portal, http://www.dolceta.eu, for the education of European consumers. Partners in this project are the companies Adetef, Astec, Euronet Consulting and Federconsumatori. The framework contract was signed with the Executive Agency for Health and Consumers of the European Commission and has as objective the development, updating and promotion of the Dolceta portal among the consumers in 27 EU countries.
“We are very well aligned with the requirements of the project, in terms of vision and competencies. We provide software development for web tools, we contribute to the evolution of information systems and of benefits offered to European consumers. We also design multimedia educational content and eLearning tools for students and adults worldwide,” said Stefan Morcov, deputy vice-president SIVECO.
