Gibbs & Soell Names Lambert CEO
Luke Lambert, president of Gibbs & Soell, Inc., becomes the third chief executive officer of the 40-year-old independent communications firm. Jeff Altheide is elevated to executive vice president to lead agency growth. Cos Mallozzi, chairman and CEO, to retire after more than 35 years with the agency.
New York, NY, February 16, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Gibbs & Soell, Inc. today announced the promotion of Luke Lambert, president of the communications agency, to the expanded role of president and chief executive officer, effective March 1. Lambert, 47, assumes primary leadership for the agency’s 10 shareholders, 100 employees and dozens of valued clients. Lambert succeeds Cos Mallozzi, who is retiring from the firm after more than 35 years.
In addition, Jeff Altheide, 52, is promoted to executive vice president of Gibbs & Soell, and will focus on the agency’s business development and growth strategies.
Mallozzi, 60, spent nearly 20 years as the agency’s CEO following the retirement of Dick Gibbs, who co-founded the agency in 1971 with Dick Soell.
“Cos accomplished a great deal in guiding our agency through decades of growth and change,” Lambert said. “Not only did he manage a smooth transition from the agency’s founders many years ago, he also established a strong foundation and stable process for our current generation of leaders to take G&S into the future.”
Lambert joined G&S in 1996 and has served as vice president of business development, managing director of the New York headquarters, and president. He became an agency shareholder in 2001.
Altheide has been with G&S for more than three decades, including 15 years as managing director of the firm’s Chicago office. He was elected an agency shareholder in 1995.
