Glynnis Campbell Writes Canterbury Tale Romance with a Scots Twist

Los Angeles, CA, February 17, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Award-winning author Glynnis Campbell has just released a new historical romance novel, “Passion’s Exile,” in NOOK and Kindle formats. “Passion’s Exile” is an adventure inspired by the bawdy tales of Chaucer and set on a pilgrimage, not to Canterbury, but to St. Andrews, Scotland.

The story follows the improbable romance of Blade, a self-exiled mercenary haunted by his tragic past, and Rose, an intrepid runaway bride seeking refuge as a nun. Blade has 10 days to convince Rose she isn’t convent material. Rose has 10 days to convince Blade he’s worthy of redemption. And they have 10 days to uncover two assassins among the pilgrims, foil a gang of kidnappers, dodge a vindictive bridegroom, and fall in love.

Glynnis likes to season her writing with quirky humor and fast-paced action, and this book is no exception. She’s been called “a fresh, exciting voice” and “a born storyteller” who writes novels that “will have readers clamoring for more.”

Glynnis Campbell has written 11 novels under her own name and pen names of Sarah McKerrigan and Kira Morgan, for Berkley, Warner, and Grand Central Publishing, including “My Champion,” which was a Rita nominee for Best First Book. As Glynnis Talken, she has provided voiceovers for the video games Diablo and Starcraft, “Star Wars” audio adventures, and the MTV animated series “The Maxx.” She lives in Los Angeles with her husband, Richard Campbell, a musician with the classic rock band, America.
