Naples, FL, February 16, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Real estate buyers are not just looking for a second home or vacation condo, they are buying in record numbers. According to statistics from Sunshine MLS (the local Multiple Listing service for Naples), there were approximately 200 hundred more pending contracts written on real estate in January 2012 than the same month last year.

According to Mark Weber, Broker of White Sands Realty, "this year is definitely different than last. We are seeing many homes sell, at or close to full price. We've even had buyers lose out in a bidding war for certain properties."

Even new construction is in high demand as home buyers look for the perfect second home or vacation property. New home projects like Riverstone Naples have seen sales increase dramatically this month. "We had clients from Nebraska who waited in line overnight to get the best deals on new homes at Riverstone. Riverstone Naples is at 47 sales in just two weeks! That kind of sales volume hasn't happened in Naples in years," said Weber.

Home prices in Riverstone Naples range from $326,900 to just under $600,000 for larger 6 bedroom homes.

Inventory of homes for sale is down, creating more demand. Overall, real estate sales in Naples are expected to increase through Easter.
