The Chef’s Academy Announces Fee Waiver for Military Students
Military Students Applying to Culinary Institution Will Pay No Application Fee
Indianapolis, IN, February 19, 2012 --(PR.com)-- The Chef’s Academy (http://www.thechefsacademy.com), the Culinary Division of Harrison College, a 109-year-old, nationally accredited institution that offers 40 degree programs in five schools of study, has announced that effective immediately, and continuing through the summer, military students applying to programs at The Chef's Academy will have their $50 application fee waived.
A military student is defined as an active member of the armed forces, veteran of the armed forces, active reservist and National Guard member, retiree of the armed forces, and/or a dependent of a member of the armed forces. A veteran must have been discharged or released from active duty in the armed forces under honorable conditions (i.e., with an honorable or general discharge), after serving for more than 180 consecutive days, other than for training. Dependents of members of the armed forces must verify eligibility with a current and valid military ID card.
Quotes:
“The Chef’s Academy is pleased to offer an application fee waiver in recognition of the selflessness, patriotism and heroism by our troops, veterans, National Guard and reserves,” said Jayson Boyers, national division president of The Chef’s Academy. “Many members of the armed forces opt for a career in the culinary industry upon their discharge from military service, and this is our way of supporting them in their transition to civilian life.”
