Anchor Shae Crisson to Serve as Honorary Chair for Annual Fundraising Event
Raleigh, NC, February 19, 2012 --(PR.com)-- ABC11 Eyewitness News (http://www.abc11.com) has announced that anchor/reporter Shae Crisson will serve as the honorary chair for the upcoming 44th Annual Gala for The Arc of Wake County, a fundraising event which ABC11 is also sponsoring. This year’s event will be hosted at Marbles Kids Museum, located at 201 E. Hargett St. in downtown Raleigh, on Saturday, Feb. 25 beginning at 7 p.m. Benefiting adults and children with developmental disabilities, the gala will feature dinner, a silent auction, a life auction and professional portraits, with music provided throughout the evening by disc jockey Delane Hayes.
Since 1954, The Arc of Wake County has been responsible for establishing the first classes for children with developmental disabilities in public schools, special programs in various churches, residential and employment programs, recreational opportunities and respite care. Today, with membership of nearly 250 individuals and families, the organization provides advocacy, information, public awareness and community education services for adults and children with developmental disabilities and their families.
