Rescue Capital’s COO Maureen Healy Adopts a Pig
Rescue Capital’s COO Maureen Healy Adopts a Pig to sponsor a public charity to help children and their families diagnosed with cancer.
Philadelphia, PA, February 19, 2012 --(PR.com)-- As part of Rescue Capital’s commitment to helping others, COO Maureen Healy adopted a pig from Adopt a Pig (adoptapig.org) a public charity benefiting children and their families diagnosed with cancer.
Pediatric cancer patients and survivors paint and decorate piggy banks. Sponsors adopt the piggy banks and collect donations. When the bank is full, the change is counted and a check is sent to Adopt a Pig. Sponsors get to keep the pig as their own personal reminder.
Ms. Healy’s beautiful pig was painted by Kara, age 9. If you would like to make a donation, contact us at rescuecapital@gmail.com. If you’re interested in adopting your own pig and make a difference in the lives of children fighting this terrible disease, visit www.adoptapig.org.
Adopt a Pig is a 100% volunteer organization and Adopt a 501 (c)(3) public charity. Proceeds benefit a variety of support services and coping mechanisms for patients and their families.
