Registration is free and attendees can earn Continuing Education (CE) credits for most sessions being offered.
“Safety and protection shouldn’t stop at caution signs and hardhats,” said Bob Korn. “Educating people about the invisible hazards in their facilities is vital to preventing devastating disasters. We have seen the destruction explosions can cause, both to facilities and personnel, and we are dedicated to identifying specific hazards and providing customized solutions to fit individual needs.”
Topics the session will include:
How to identifying dust hazards in individual facilities
Educating attendees on NFPA regulations and codes regarding combustible dust and explosion protection
Identify the mitigation techniques detailed by NFPA code to protect workers and facilities
“Effective management of dust and gas explosion risks requires an understanding of critical explosion characteristics, determination of combustible atmospheres and identification of potential ignition sources,” explained Bob Korn. “Once risks have been identified, explosion protection equipment must be properly designed and maintained to minimize any risk. Fike offers a complete line of explosion protection solutions, including several flameless venting options, explosion suppression, isolation and full scale testing capabilities.”
