Music and Voice Institute Present String Expo Extravaganza 2012
Expo held at the Banning High School on March 5th 2012. String Expo Extravaganza 2012 (S.E.E. 2012) will consist of hands-on experiences where students can learn for themselves the joy of performing music. S.E.E. 2012 includes interactive "touch and feel" workshops for violins, violas, cellos, and piano and more. S.E.E. 2012 will include exciting performances by Idyllwild Arts Academy and other outstanding string and piano performers and ensembles from across Southern California.

Music and Voice Institute is a non-profit music school in Beaumont, California. Music and Voice Institute's Mission is to provide opportunities for music education and appreciation to people of all ages, abilities, and financial means as a way of enhancing lives, broadening the base of support for the arts, and strengthening the community as a whole. On March 5th 2012 they will host String Expo Extravaganza 2012. This is the 1st of a planned annual event.
Event Objectives:
1) Give kids a rare opportunity to view, play, and experience string instruments in a fun hands-on educational atmosphere.
2) Increase awareness of the opportunities music provides through scholarships and funds available for college education.
3) Inspire parents and students alike to seek music instruction and education to improve academic performance by stimulating the ability of one to reason, calculate, read, improve self-control and discipline, and excel in all levels of education. (California Arts Council www.CAC.org)
Event Overview:
During the months of January and February Music and Voice Institute has held assemblies in the elementary and middle school in the Banning Unified School District. Each school assembly event introduces students to the world of string instruments and piano with interactive demonstrations by musicians and educators from Music and Voice Institute.
The culmination of these events is a public Expo held at the Banning High School on March 5th 2012.
