Abilene ISD to Install FieldTurf Revolution

Abilene, TX, February 23, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Abilene ISD in Texas has announced the decision to install FieldTurf Revolution at Shotwell Stadium. The new surface will replace its 10-year-old turf field, and include customized alternate logos in the endzones for Abilene and Cooper High School. Shotwell Stadium is used for a wide array of sports at all competing levels, and the investment in FieldTurf looks to prove its worth as high usage rates are anticipated on the field for years to come.

“I think we got a (great) buy and got maximum value with this Revolution,” said AISD construction coordinator Joe Humphrey. “We think we’re a key West Texas district and people look to us because we were one of the first to have artificial turf in West Texas and we want to continue to be on the forefront of these things and do the right thing.”

The school district plans to do the right thing by offering its student athletes a surface that provides the necessary safety measures and performance-enabling features to succeed on the field. Shotwell stadium is home to multiple programs, and has a long storied history of impressive feats on its ground. Deciding to upgrade to FieldTurf Revolution makes a statement that Abilene is looking to continue writing history at this venue.
