Physician Assisted Weight Loss to Add Raleigh Location, Joins Durham Location

Durham, NC, February 24, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Wickham Simonds, MD announces a new location for Physician Assisted Weight Loss, to joining the existing Durham office. The Raleigh office, at 8300 Falls of Neuse Road, Suite 112, will open on February 29th, 2012.

“This addition answers the requests of many of our patients, who have wanted a location closer to their homes in Raleigh,” said Dr. Simonds. “The expansion gives us an opportunity to serve more people, more conveniently and with more flexible hours.”

The hours of operation in Raleigh will be:

Monday, 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM
Tuesday, Wednesday 1:00 PM - 7:00 PM
Thursday, 8:00 AM - 12:00 Noon

The Raleigh office will be just south of the intersection of I-540 and Falls of Neuse Road, right next door to Piper's Tavern.

The Durham office hours are expanding soon, with the new open time at 8:00 AM on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

About Wickham Simonds, M.D.
Dr. Simonds is an Emergency Room Physician certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine. He was a partner in Mountain Emergency Physicians in the Unifour region of Western North Carolina serving hospitals in Lenoir, Hickory and Morganton. Dr. Simonds received his MD from East Carolina University after graduating Summa Cum Laude with a BS in Biology from Campbell University. He was Chief Resident during his residency in Emergency Medicine at Penn State University/York, Pa. hospital.

He and his wife, Anna Simonds, RN, founded Physician Assisted Weight Loss in 2004 and opened the Durham, N.C. office in 2008. He and Anna developed the present program used uniformly in both offices which combine instruction in practical dieting, exercise and medications.
