Grand Rapids, Michigan’s Love Inspired Outreach® Launches Website

Grand Rapids, MI, February 24, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Love Inspired Outreach (LIO) is pleased to announce the launch of its new website, www.loveinspiredoutreach.org. The website offers in-depth stories, videos and photo essays about the ministry and the people LIO is serving in the Busia county of Kenya, Africa.

The website was developed by volunteers and board members of LIO to provide a robust platform showcasing the work and ministry of the Grand Rapids, Mich.-based organization.

The new site provides users with a comprehensive overview of the ministry, including recent projects and opportunities for involvement; current events affecting the Busia county of Kenya; and testimonials, videos and photo essays from the remote village of 8,000. The easy-to-navigate site is filled with compelling stories of the work being done.

Visitors can watch a touching video of a water well being drilled, and see the reaction of the village residents as they receive their first-ever fresh water source. Visitors can also upload children’s book, “Sango and the Well,” written and published by LIO. This full-color, illustrated book was distributed to the children of Sigua village to help them understand God’s love for them as told through the voice of Sango Otieno, who grew up in this remote Kenyan village and now leads LIO as executive director.

Otieno, who teaches statistics at Grand Valley State University in Allendale, Mich., says that this is just a small beginning to the major work that’s already being done through this young ministry.

“For such a young ministry, God is truly blessing the efforts and the people of this distressed region of Africa,” said Otieno. “The website offers a place for donors, team members and the global community to see firsthand what can be done when a few begin serving(i).”

In 2011, the first year of LIO’s ministry, the organization completed several projects, including installing electricity and drilling a water well for the village of Sijoa – a community of about 8,000; helping plant a vegetable garden that will provide fresh vegetables to the entire community year round; and developing solid relationships focused on establishing and nurturing the local church.

This spring, another water-drilling project is planned for a neighboring village. Check the website for continual updates about the LIO mission.

About Love Inspired Outreach
Love Inspired Outreach® is a 501(c)(3) tax exempt charity that is managed and operated by a professional volunteer staff and board of directors. LIO has no paid staff, no paid board members and no facilities to operate and maintain.

This means that 100 percent of donations to Love Inspired Outreach® (LIO) goes directly to Christian outreach and programs that support Christian outreach to remote and impoverished communities in Kenya and Ethiopia. LIO targets areas within these countries that are unreached by traditional, mainstream Christian organizations.

LIO’s mission is to demonstrate the love of God by providing resources to support Christian evangelism, education, health care, clean water, food and income generation to remote and impoverished communities around the world. We seek to encourage people to accept Jesus Christ as their personal savior and to empower believers to live fulfilled lives.

(i) “Do not despise these small beginnings, for the LORD rejoices to see the work begin.” Zech. 4:10 (NLT)
