Scorpion Racing Products Becomes NASCAR Sponsor
Ocala, FL, February 28, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Scorpion Racing Products (www.scorpionracingproducts.com), a division of Scorpion Performance, Inc. (www.scorpionperformance.com), announced today that it has entered into a three-year agreement to be a contingency sponsor of the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour and NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour racing series. This multi-year deal provides Scorpion Racing Products with a marketing platform to differentiate its products and drive sales.
Before they were superstars in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, Dale Earnhardt Jr., Tony Stewart, Denny Hamlin and Jeff Burton were like thousands of drivers that make up the foundation of NASCAR - tinkering with their racecars all week so they could spend their weekends racing at their local home tracks. The two Whelen Modified Tour series are part of the foundation of everything NASCAR: loyal fans, dedicated racers and dozens of local racetracks with the best of short-track racing anywhere. The two Whelen Modified Tour series bring NASCAR racing to the neighborhood, cultivate future superstars, celebrate local legends and fuel the passion of race fans across America.
Luke Whalen, Scorpion’s President and CEO, states, “We’re very excited to be a part of the NASCAR family. Open wheel modified racing is wildly popular and the Modified Tour is the oldest series in NASCAR. Our ‘Scorpion Racing Products’ decals will be seen on all racecars in these two series at 26 races a year, nation-wide. Scorpion Racing Products is the retail brand for the products that Scorpion Performance manufactures.”
Scott Reynolds, Scorpion’s Vice President of Sales and Marketing, adds, “The quality and performance of our American-made products is second to none, just like the quality and performance of NASCAR. Our customers are looking for race-proven parts for their engines, and having our decals on NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour racecars is a great way to let them know who’s the best source for those parts including rocker arms, lifters, pushrods, valves, valve springs and more.”
Scorpion Racing Products is the marketing and distribution company for the products that Scorpion Performance manufactures. Scorpion Racing Products' online ecommerce website at www.scorpionracingproducts.com allows customers to buy the Company’s entire line of products factory-direct.
