Siebel Newsom is the director of "Miss Representation," a documentary that questions the portrayals of women in media.
Los Angeles, CA, February 29, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Jennifer Siebel Newsom, wife of California Lieutenant Governor Gavin Newsom, stars in the forthcoming romantic comedy feature "Till You Get To Baraboo." Siebel-Newsom portrays Judy Claymore, the old flame of Roland Hayes (William Mendieta), who surprises him at his hotel room on the eve of her wedding to another man. Confusion, mayhem, and -- of course -- romance ensue as Roland magically comes face-to-face with every woman he's ever loved and lost.
As one of those women from the past, notes "Baraboo" writer-director Emmett Loverde, "Jennifer displays an enticingly playful wit as well as her uncommon beauty. Judy Claymore is an idealized woman and Jennifer brought charm and grace to her portrayal. And," he adds, "she was a delight to work with."
Mrs. Newsom has appeared in "In the Valley of Elah," "Something's Gotta Give," "Rent," "Life," "Mad Men," "Trauma," and "Numb3rs." She is the writer, director, and producer of the documentary "Miss Representation," which explores how the media's misrepresentations of women have led to the under-representation of women in positions of power and influence.
