Dr. Mike Mallee and Stephen Kramer Announce the Launch of Lorikeet Learning LLC - Lorikeet Learning, LLC is a Solution-Based Organization Providing Resources to Educators
Centerville, DE, February 29, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Lorikeet Learning, LLC is a solution-based organization providing resources to educators and parents in an effort to connect with and impact the most challenging to reach students. By providing forums, a digital community, resources, products and expertise, Lorikeet Learning will be the “go to brand” for teachers and parents who need help reaching their students and children with severe learning differences.
“Dr. Mike” Mallee and Stephen Kramer today announced the official launch of Lorikeet Learning LLC and its website LorikeetLearning.com.
Specially-designed to help educators and parents connect with children with severe learning differences (such as autism, developmental delays, sensory-processing issues, language delays, Down’s Syndrome, and brain injury), Lorikeet Learning’s Method For Eager Learners (MEL)TM achieves proven results in teaching the fundamentals of reading, math, social sciences, and daily living skills. “I had been developing the curricula over a period of years in the classroom, and I wanted to share the MEL method because the results of getting a child with these severe conditions to a new level is the most rewarding experience in teaching,” said “Dr. Mike” as he is known to students and colleagues alike.
“Lorikeet Learning is providing the products the market is looking for,” said Stephen Kramer, Co-founder and President of Lorikeet Learning LLC. “Integrated music, rhythm, rhyme etc. help keep the same lesson message fresh through the needed repetition, which is much more extensive for our target students, those with severe learning difficulties,” he added.
“Much of 2011 was spent in the conversion and standardization of Dr. Mallee’s handcrafted curricula and lesson plans into, state-of-the art Interactive whiteboard (sometimes called Smartboard™) programs,” stated Martin Uniacke, CEO and Small business consultant to the firm. “Indeed, Dr. Mike was working on integrated music, color and big bright illustrations to freshen his message, well before the wide availability of the 'Smart' boards in the classroom.”
“What attracted me was a truly a wonderful story: everyone involved with the company has very strong personal connections to the special needs community and a true desire to deliver a teaching method that will increase outcomes, measured in productive citizens operating at the top of their potentials,” stated Mr. Uniacke.
In the near future the company plans a grass roots placement campaign aimed at getting interest and adoption at the front lines of the struggle to deliver special education: teachers, parents, caregivers and the students themselves. “Our plans include: reaching out to PTA’s and advocacy groups, and offering discounted or free product trials to get the products in the hands of teachers in our own back yards, as a start,” said Mr. Kramer.
“We all either live or work in Delaware or Delaware county, PA… so if your local and want us to come to your school, meeting or event, all you have to do is call,” said Dr. Mallee.
Growth plans for the company include raising capital to build on the successful launch of the website and digital product delivery mechanisms. The company also employs an on demand print service for teachers who require a physical manual to teach the lessons. “Believe it or not, 'No child left behind' was the impetus for developing my new method, now the goal is just change lives for the better,” said Dr. “Mike.”
