Los Angeles, CA, March 02, 2012 --(PR.com)-- ExperienceLA.com, the official arts, cultural and recreational event calendar for Los Angeles County, has launched a major giveaway now through March 19 to accompany its annual user survey. Teaming up with several of its more than 3,500 cultural partners, the giveaway offers an array of experiences that are reflective of Los Angeles’ diversity. Featured prizes include passes to the Natural History Museum, a private docent-led group tour from the Los Angeles Conservancy, tickets to the upcoming Billy Elliot The Musical at the Pantages Theatre and Hollywood CityPASS admission cards from LA Inc. The Los Angeles Convention and Visitors Bureau and CityPASS. Additional prizes include passes to the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach, complimentary dinner for two at West Restaurant & Lounge and tickets to the Santa Monica Playhouse with more prizes to be added.
Recognized in the past for its innovation, ExperienceLA.com and its managing agency, Civic Resource Group, continue to push the boundaries in utilizing technology to promote arts and cultural tourism and the use of public transit. Two announced projects for 2012 will benefit L.A. and SoCal residents: a mobile application pilot project for Los Angeles that marries destination information from the ExperienceLA.com database with Metro’s real-time transit data; and a collaborative engagement with Project Audience for a pilot project funded by the Mellon Foundation, and modeled after ExperienceLA.com’s success. The project aims to change the way audiences participate with creative experiences in Southern California.
Now in its 9th year as a free, public service, ExperienceLA.com is the online source for what to do, and how to get there in Los Angeles. The site is made possible by contributions from CRA/LA (a designated local authority) and Los Angeles County Arts Commission, with support from Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority, and LA Inc. The Los Angeles Convention and Visitors Bureau. ExperienceLA.com is managed by Civic Resource Group.
