The shopping district, in undergoing construction in some areas, would have been forced to level the tree. However, with the help of Big Trees Inc., they were able instead to find a new home for the massive 20 foot tall Magnolia (weighing in at 8,000 lb) tree in the shopping district, now situated in the west side entrance of the center. In addition, Big Trees Inc. also relocated numerous small, 6 inch, 25-30 year old Japanese Maples in the center, moving them to the center’s northeast entrance.
