Shiply Reaches Landmark 1,000,000th Listing

Shiply has helped over 590,000 users save money on their deliveries to date, and the number of transport providers using the site to find extra work has reached more than 45,000. Shiply has also expanded its market internationally, now serving users all across Europe.

Nadinesz, the most active user of Shiply has used the site to move 97 items and has made estimated savings of over £11,500 (70%) when compared to standard courier rates.

As well as saving users money on their deliveries, Shiply has also helped save an estimated 34 million road miles by making use of spare capacity in trucks and vans.

To celebrate reaching the landmark one millionth listing Shiply gave prizes to both the user and the transport provider who completed the first delivery after the milestone.

The delivery, posted by Olive Conner was for a number of pieces of household furniture including a powered armchair that needed moving from Warrington to Macclesfield near Manchester. The job was completed by transport provider Agne Jasinskaite of Cargoexpress who has now carried out more than 100 deliveries through the site.

In recognition of the 1 millionth listing, Shiply gifted Olive vouchers for her favourite department store for which she was delighted. Olive, 65 said of Shiply:

“As a first time user of the service I found it really easy to use, from getting quotes through to paying, it just did what you wanted.”

Mr Jasinkaite of Cargoexpress, the transport provider, received a prize of store credit at Halfords. He praised Shiply and said that he expects to use the site much more in the future:
