Colorado Assisted Living facilities Announces Senior Day 2012 and Workshops in March

Littleton, CO, March 10, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Colorado Assisted Living announced that its Denver facility residents will be participating in the Senior Day organized by Colorado Senior Lobby. The Senior Day is conducted at Colorado State Capitol, Denver, Colorado. Senior Day 2012 at the Capitol provides excellent opportunity for all seniors to meet the Governor of Colorado and all the legislatures active in legislation related to seniors as well as senior providers.

The Senior Day at the Capitol is scheduled to be conducted on March 14, 2012. The Senior Day celebrations of 2011 had been a grand success and the organizers plan to build on the success of last year by making this 2012 event even more informative and successful. The Baptist Church located at 14th and Grant, Denver, Colorado, will provide lunch to the visitors of the Senior Day 2012.

Colorado Assisted Living also announced that Life Quality Institute is conducting a series of dynamic workshops from May 11 to answer the questions of people who provide adult care and who wish to have control over their healthcare decisions. The stress of care giving can take a heavy toll physically, mentally, emotionally, financially, and/or spiritually. The workshop series has been named as "Fill in the GAPS 6-part Series for Family and Professional Caregivers."

The first workshop is on palliative care and Hospice, with the topics of Hospice and Palliative Care: A Philosophy of Compassionate Care and Taking the Pulse of Palliative Care. The second workshop is on Family and Care giving Challenges, with several topics in the agenda. In the third workshop, the subject of discussion is Healthcare Providers’ Challenges. The fourth seminar considers Grief and Bereavement. The fifth discusses Healthcare Directives and the sixth is on the topics of Spiritual and Psychosocial. Topics like Healthcare Ethics and Especially for Physicians and Healthcare Professionals are also on the workshop agenda.

All the staff members and residents of Colorado Assisted Living are likely to participate in this workshop along with other assisted living care providers of Colorado. According to Life Quality Institute, the workshop will be useful for patients and their family members, medical and nonmedical caregivers, healthcare providers, Hospice and hospital volunteers, nursing facility staff, senior living residents and staff, geriatric care managers and senior advisors, and elder law attorneys and financial planners.
