The City of Aventura Presents the 2012 Go Green Expo and Symposium
The City of Aventura in conjunction with TCG, a FirstService Residential Management company, are presenting the Go Green Expo and Symposium on Thursday, March 29th.
Aventura, FL, March 07, 2012 --(PR.com)-- The City of Aventura in conjunction with The Continental Group (TCG), a FirstService Residential Management company, are presenting the “Go Green Expo and Symposium” on Thursday, March 29th, from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the City of Aventura Government Center located at 19200 West Country Club Drive.
Residents and condo management staff are invited to attend and learn all about the newest, cost-effective practices in the Green and Sustainable Movement. The City of Aventura is committed to reducing its carbon footprint and teach attendees how they can participate in making the City more environmentally friendly. TCG is Florida’s leading property management company and is dedicated to educating its communities on green practices and sustainability by encouraging residents and businesses to participate in eco-friendly practices.
The Expo will take place from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. and will feature tabletop exhibitions by former “Go Green” City of Aventura winners. Tentative participants include Corporate Green presenters, such as Florida Power & Light (FPL), Luke’s Landscaping, Waste Management, All Florida Pest Control, (Green) Paint Products, LED Lighting Vendor and AmSan Green Cleaning Products. Topics will include: All natural pest control, recycling, water conservation, Florida Friendly™ landscaping, and energy saving tips.
The Symposium will begin at 7 p.m. with a panel discussion, Q&A, and feature presentations by experts in the field. The Go Green Awards will be presented to several Aventura communities from 8 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Recipient communities have been selected by a panel of judges based on the criteria that they have exemplified innovation in sustainable practices and a commitment to making their community “greener.” All multimedia presentations aim to educate residents, businesses and condominium managers and board members on the ways that the City of Aventura is “going green,” and how they can establish or enhance their own Go Green initiatives in their homes, businesses and high-rise communities.
Attendees will be encouraged to ask questions after the presentations. Light refreshments will be served during the Expo part of the evening and will be sponsored by The Continental Group.
