Outer Banks Real Estate Owners Invited to Volunteer at 4th Annual Duck and Wine Festival
The annual Duck and Wine Festival is back on its fourth year and Outer Banks Real Estate owners are more than welcome to apply for volunteer posts. Those interested in participating in the event may also now avail of tickets or special duck and wine getaway packages.
Outer Banks, NC, March 09, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Outer Banks real estate owners are warmly invited to volunteer at the event, which is hosted this year by the Coastal Cantina, the Currituck-Dare Community Foundation, and the Duck Waterfront shops. It will be held on April 28, 2012.
The festival’s highlight is a duck & wine cook-off among the area’s best chefs. During the competition, each participating chef is given wine selected and provided by Coastal Cantina and duck from Maple Leaf Farms. A panel of judges would then conduct a taste test on the dishes created from those two main components. The “Best Dish” prize will be based on judges’ comments while the People’s Choice awards would be determined by the audience.
Those attending the event will be given a signature wine glass each, together with a wine tote bag. They will also have the chance to purchase all the wines featured during the selection at discounted rates. Proceeds from the festival will benefit Outer Banks non-profit organizations such as Currituck Kids, Children At Play, and Kids First, Inc.
As for the weekend getaway packages for the festival, only four of these wonderful packages would be made available. Sponsored by the Hilton Garden Inn and Coastal Provisions Wine Bar & Café, the package is available at a first come, first served basis for the immensely affordable and non-refundable price of $499. Dates for the package are for a two-night stay from April 27 to 28 and with the offer available only until April 12. Aside from a 2-night stay at the Hilton Garden Inn, the lucky recipients of these packages would also enjoy two tickets to the festival, a dinner for two on Friday night at the Coastal Provisions Wine Bar & Café, and a welcome bag especially organized by the Currituck-Dare Board. The market value for the entire package is priced at $645.
Those interested in purchasing tickets from the event may do so online either by visiting the event’s official page at coastival.org or coastalprovisionsmarket.com and pay via PayPal. Outer Banks real estate owners interested instead in the duck and wine getaway packages may download a reservation form at the Coastival website as well and email or fax it to Peggy Birkemeir.
