Indiana CPA Society Launched a New Blog
The Indiana CPA Society (INCPAS) has launched a new blog titled "I was just thinkin'." The blog offers views on the latest news, trends and issues affecting accounting and the CPA profession.
Indianapolis, IN, March 10, 2012 --(PR.com)-- The Indiana CPA Society (INCPAS) has launched a new blog titled "I was just thinkin'." The goal of the blog is to share thoughts on news, hot topics and issues that may affect accounting and the CPA profession. The blog provides an engaging and collaborative platform that encourages readers to join in the discussion.
Contributing writers for the blog will include INCPAS senior staff. CPAs who are members of the Society may be added to the list of bloggers in the future.
"This blog allows our members and staff to share their views and expertise on relevant issues," said INCPAS President and CEO Gary Bolinger, CAE. "We hope our readers will use the blog as a forum to connect with us, share their experiences, and have some fun too!"

"In the beginning ... " - Bolinger reflects on the history of the CPA profession and its rise to the level of prominence in business, even before CPAs were required to be certified. Building on the past and moving to the future, he discusses how the new CGMA credential may help shape the future of the profession.
"You HAD Mail ... " - After reading an article about the end of the postal service being near, Bolinger wonders about the other companies and industries that may be affected by its demise. He talks about missed opportunities by the USPS and how this could relate to integrated reporting in the CPA profession.

Currently, more than 7,000 CPAs in public practice, industry, government and education are members of the Indiana CPA Society. INCPAS serves the public interest as well as its members.
