Established during the Web's infancy in 1996, the Webbys are presented by The International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences, a 550-member body of leading Web experts, business figures, luminaries, visionaries and creative celebrities. Of the more than 8,000 entries submitted to the awards competition, fewer than 15% are honored for their excellence and superior quality. Web sites are judged for content, structure and navigation, visual design, functionality, interactivity and overall user experience.
