AccuShred NW Receives NAID AAA Certification for Plant-Based Shredding

Gresham, OR, March 15, 2012 --(PR.com)-- AccuShred NW has received NAID AAA certification for its plant-based shredding operations in Portland, Oregon. The company was required to meet robust security thresholds established by the National Association for Information Destruction in order to receive the AAA certification status for its plant operations.

AccuShred NW plant based operations became certified on December 1st, 2011. The company has already been NAID AAA certified for its mobile shredding services for many years. The AAA certification ensures that all of the company’s shredding services exceed all federal and state legislation in regards to information management security requirements.

The company’s plant based shredding operations for off-site document destruction, microfiche, microfilm and micro media disintegration, off-site hard drive destruction, and all paper/printed materials. AccuShred NW has invested in a new baler to compliment the other shredding machinery the company utilizes to destroy documents. The baler will assist in the packaging of shredded documents that will then be taken to recycling facilities. AccuShred NW also has special machinery designed specifically for the destruction of microfiche and microfiber documents, which is also covered under their AAA NAID certification which disintegrates the micro media into dust.
