San Antonio’s Top Bartenders to Perform for Top Prize at Sherlock’s Baker St. Pub & Grill’s Bar Knights of Flair Bartending Competition

San Antonio, TX, March 15, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Bartenders from around the city will descend on Sherlock’s Baker St. Pub & Grill (16620 US 281 North) to determine who can pour the perfect cocktail while entertaining the crowd with bottle tossing flair on Tuesday, March 27 as part of the pub’s Bar Knights of Flair Bartending Competition.

Those who think they have what it takes - speed, accuracy and showmanship - will perform in front of a panel of judges in a two-round competition while pub patrons cheer them on.

The last bartender standing will earn a $500 cash prize and a chance to compete in the Bar Knights of Flair finals to be held in Dallas on April 24.

Bartenders wishing to compete can stop by Sherlock’s for an entry form and copy of the rules, or email flair@sherlockspub.com before March 21.

The Speed & Accuracy round has contestants preparing six drinks from a pre-determined list including a Bloody Mary, margarita and martini. Points are deducted for spills, drops, breaks, missing ingredients or taking longer than the required two-minute time limit.

In the Flair round, bartenders must mix two required cocktails and one specialty drink of their choosing while performing never-before-seen-moves with precision and composure. Points are awarded for overall crowd interaction, drink taste and quality, and finishing within the required time.
