The Day of the Nerd Gathering in Idyllwild
Idyllwild, CA, March 18, 2012 --(PR.com)-- INK (Inspiring New Knowledge) Book Gathering announced today the upcoming Day of The Nerd event to be held the weekend of March 31st, 2012 in Idyllwild, CA.
Renowned motivational speaker, consultant and filmmaker Ken Goldstein will be in town to celebrate the upcoming April 30th release of his first book, The Way of The Nerd, a simple instruction book for “living the life you deserve and getting what you want from your professional and creative pursuits.”
According to Goldstein, “What I’ve done is to deconstruct the 81 verses of Lao Tzu’s seminal text, Tao Te Ching, which is universally regarded as the original manual for success, and translates them into simple instructions for living the life you deserve and getting what you want.” Using anecdotes from his life and career, Ken shows others the way to greatness by explaining his path and sharing the tools he uses to manifest greatness in his own life. Attendees will explore their personal goals, creative goals spiritual goals, goals with family & friends, professional goals and learn how to apply The Way of The Nerd to their everyday lives.
For those who are unfamiliar, Goldstein proclaims, in his new book, “The Way of The Nerd,” due out this April 30, “The Day of the Nerd is a single, life-changing day that will remove the main obstacle in your life that prevents you from reaching your personal, professional and creative goals. The schedule kicks off on Friday, March 30th registration and an opening reception which will feature an author mini-series talk with Goldstein. To help set the tone and intention for the weekend, Johnson will lead a guided meditation which will feature the live music by Idyllwild musician Peter Davison, composer of much of the music heard on Gaiam CDs.
Saturday, the schedule will be in full-swing with Goldstein speaking during three lecture sessions: “Who is this God person anyway?” followed by “The World is Your Oyster” at the mid-day session, and in the afternoon, “You are the Problem in Your Life.” Just a few of the other activities available during the workshop sessions will feature Yoga with organic Yogi, Trine Beitz and a Pilates hike with Judi Way.
