Rita and Rick Case Honored with AIADA’s Lifetime Achievement Award in Las Vegas

Bedford, OH, March 19, 2012 --(PR.com)-- The American International Automobile Dealers Association (AIADA) yesterday honored Rita and Rick Case of the Rick Case Automotive Group with the David F. Mungenast Lifetime Achievement Award. The award, named after the late AIADA Chairman and legendary St. Louis-area automobile dealer, was presented during AIADA’s 42nd Annual Meeting and Luncheon on February 6, 2012 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

“The Cases have demonstrated a commitment to the same values as the award’s namesake, Dave Mungenast. Their dedication not only to their business, but also to their community, provides an example for dealers who follow after them,” said AIADA President Cody Lusk.

Rick Case entered the auto industry in 1962 with a dealership in Akron, Ohio. He married Rita Manly – who was at the time a general manager at her parents’ Honda dealership in northern California. Today, they own the Rick Case Automotive Group, which operates 15 dealerships in Florida, Georgia, and Ohio, including the world’s largest Honda and Hyundai dealerships, located in Broward County. The auto group is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year.

Beyond their significant industry involvement, the Cases also continue to donate their time and funds to 30 charitable causes. For 25 years, they have served on the board of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Broward County. Together, they have raised more than $50 million for the organization through events such as the Boca Raton Concours d’Elegance and the ShowBoats International Rendezvous.

In addition to the Boys & Girls Clubs, Rick and Rita are actively involved with and support numerous other local charities and organizations. It is truly Rick and Rita’s dedication to customer service and community support that has provided the foundation for their many accomplishments throughout the years.
