Rocking to Raise Money for Music Education
Charted rock band VanMarter Project performs fundraiser concert for Caldwell High School Music Department April 6, 2012.
Caldwell, ID, March 18, 2012 --(PR.com)-- VanMarter Project, a rock band from the Pacific Northwest signed on Hydrus Media, will be performing a fundraiser concert for Caldwell High School located at 3401 South Indiana Avenue in Caldwell, Idaho April 6, 2012 at 7:00pm. The single “Guaranteed Tomorrow” on their debut album titled “Don’t Look Back” is currently #57 on the FMQB Adult Contemporary (AC) chart in the third week of its release. Music from VanMarter Project was featured on the groundbreaking Discovery HD TV series “Catchin’ Air” produced by Hydrus Media and distributed world wide.
VanMarter Project has made a commitment to play fundraiser concerts in select cities to raise money for school music and performing arts programs. Fifty percent of ticket proceeds and 25% of digital album sales made online April 6th will be donated to the Caldwell High School Music Department. Choir and orchestra students from Caldwell High School will be participating in the show. General admission tickets are available online at vanmarterproject.spinshop.com or the Caldwell High School Main Office for $10. Doors open at 6:30pm, all ages are welcome.
VanMarter Project is an Artist Advocate for The Music Matters Project through Empty Vessel Music, a 501(c)3 For Impact organization offering music education, appreciation, and intervention for at risk youth. Together, VanMarter Project hopes to provide better opportunities for music education in public schools. "It's all in vain if the only thing we have done is create 'good music' without impacting the heart and soul of humanity," says Gerry Van Mansfeld, Executive Director of Empty Vessel Music.
VanMarter Project’s members include Chris Chilton, A.J. Webster, Josh Popham, and Jason Stephens. The band is described as a collaboration of talent where the members stay morally grounded to themselves and their music. The tone of the “Don't Look Back” album is one of hope and optimism; looking forward to the future and embracing the daily challenges while forgetting about the past and what can not be changed.
