Gold Coast based identification solutions provider, AAC ID Solutions are proud to be a part of promoting safety for young swimmers by increasing parental awareness, through the “Watch Around Water” ongoing campaign.
Gold Coast, Austria, March 21, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Gold Coast based identification solutions provider, AAC ID Solutions are proud to be a part of promoting safety for young swimmers by increasing parental awareness, through the “Watch Around Water” ongoing campaign.
The campaign started in Western Australia in 2004, and has since spread successfully to South Australia and Victoria. The official website explains that the Watch Around Water program was created by the aquatics industry to raise awareness of the importance of parental supervision of young children at public swimming pools and promote safe supervision policies:
- Children under 5 years must be accompanied into the centre by a responsible adult over 16 years of age and supervised at arm’s reach at all times.
- Children under 10 years must be accompanied into the centre by a responsible adult over 16 years and supervised at all times.
Since 2009, AAC have been a supplier of the awareness-raising, bright yellow and red, 25mm Tyvek wristbands, that the Royal Life Saving Society of WA provides to parents and children.
Tyvek wristbands were chosen as they are affordable, and great for showing off a custom design or campaign logo. Also they are durable, comfortable, waterproof, and easily fit around both an adults or child’s wrist.
Having a bright wristband to communicate their message was very important for the Life Savers.
