Conference highlights include OpenACD Contact Center, Cloud Deployment capabilities, Technical Training, and Engineering Hackfest.
Andover, MA, March 21, 2012 --(PR.com)-- eZuce Inc, the leading provider of open unified communications for the enterprise market enabling social business and collaboration, previewed the new feature set of eZuce openUC V4.6 to attendees of the 2012 sipX CoLab User Conference. The 2012 sipX CoLab is its inaugural annual conference which united a large delegate of users from the SIPfoundry open source community, eZuce openUC customers, eZuce Value Added Resellers and System Integrators, and Technology Solution Partners. The 2012 sipX CoLab User Conference featured open source user community members from the United States, Colombia, Mexico, Germany, Turkey, Romania, India, Australia, and Philippines.
“It was a great experience and amazing to meet with our user community; listen to them talking about eZuce openUC solutions, sharing examples of how they use it, explaining why it works and how it solves their specific problems, and having our eZuce team together to get more customer exposure and feedback which we can integrate into our product roadmap planning.” Martin Steinmann, CEO and Co-Founder, eZuce Inc.
The 2012 sipX CoLab Conference, hosted on campus by SIPfoundry Higher Education Program Member Colorado State University, included users from Red Hat, Vail Resorts, Easter Seals/Goodwill, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, Cedarville University, Colorado School of Mines, University of Texas, Bidda, Adtran, and other Enterprises. Both live and virtual attendees were introduced to eZuce openUC V4.6 through interactive breakout sessions, panel discussions, live product demos, along with a full day eZuce Technical Training class and Engineering Hackfest to promote collaboration within the open source user community.
“I’m impressed with the changes in openUC V4.6 as I feel it addresses the scalability and usability requirements we have today; and it was good to rub elbows with the people here from the user community to learn more about their experiences.” Glenn Johnson, CTO, Stalwart
The eZuce Engineering and Development Team have collaborated closely with the SIPfoundry and openUC user community to identify key requirements and translate these into usable product features and enhancements for eZuce openUC V4.6 including:
· openACD Contact Center which is a scalable contact center solution ideal for distributed systems with skills based routing and call queue management
· Virtualization of call control capabilities to improve overall system performance within distributed environments
· Web Client third party call controller including an Instant Messaging client to enable social communication
· Cloud deployment featuring eZuce’s Hybrid Virtual Architecture designed to optimize media services while improving availability, scalability, and system performance
· Security and integration capabilities to deliver a better user experience through single sign on (SSO), user profiles, social graphs, activity streams, and presence enabled communications
“I was looking at this from a programmer’s perspective to determine how we can best leverage APIs and the user interfaces- meeting with the eZuce development team at the Hackfest and attending the Technical Training Class has been very helpful to understand how we can modify APIs and most importantly contribute back to the community.” Miguel Gonzalez, Programming Manager, PATLive
In addition the 2012 SIPfoundry Steering Committee was announced at the sipX CoLab Conference as these individuals were nominated by their peers in the SIPfoundry Community to head the planning efforts for next year’s conference. The Steering Committee members include: Todd Hodgen of Misiu Systems, Tony Graziano of MyIT Department, Kyle Haefner of Colorado State University, and Matt White of Summit Technology.
