State, represents low-wealth school districts in North Carolina who are seeking to receive equal opportunities for education funding. This landmark case has resulted in two unanimous North Carolina Supreme Court rulings and the increase of more than $1 billion in funding for at-risk students in every N.C. county. Currently on appeal following the latest win by the plaintiffs, the Leandro case has been described as one of “the most important North Carolina Supreme Court rulings in living memory.”
