Server Side Design Gives Back to the Community Through Charities
Server Side Design is participating in multiple charities in order to give back to the community.
Houston, TX, March 24, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Employees at Server Side Design, a Houston-based web marketing company, are donating their time to the community in order to bring some sunshine into the lives of some local children.
They will be participating in two upcoming charities that focus on children’s needs and perhaps to plant a seed of hope that will bring a smile to their little faces.
The first charity Server Side Design is participating in is the Van Gough Birthday Celebration at Texas Children’s Hospital. The event is happening from 1 to 4 p.m. Friday, March 30 at the hospital. Server Side Design is sponsoring this event, which pays tribute to Vincent van Gough, the famous painter who painted as many as 2,000 paintings in his lifetime. Many of his paintings are displayed in museums all over the world and they sell for millions at auctions. Children admitted in the hospital will take part in the celebration by painting pottery, having their characters sketched and painting cookies. The event is geared toward helping the children gain a better understanding of art and to teach them how to use their creative abilities.
Server Side Design is also participating in the ‘BEAR the Load Luncheon’ from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 24 at the River Oaks Country Club, 1600 River Oaks Boulevard, Houston, Texas 77019. This event celebrates BEAR’s (Be a Resource for CPS [Child Protective Services] Kids) 15th birthday. Server Side Design has purchased a table in support of the BEAR cause. Dr. Ben Carson, surgeon and author of Giving Hands, is the event’s featured speaker.
“Getting involved in the lives of misfortunate children is something everyone should consider doing at some time in their lives,” said Roger Janik, president and principal of Server Side Design. “They are a part of our future and we should dedicate our time toward them. We have a team of people working at our company that are committed to serving the community and participating in these events is a way of sharing our time to give these children hope. It is something the children can treasure forever.”
This is not the first time Server Side Design has donated to a worthy cause. In February of 2012, they supported a fundraiser sponsored by the Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) Houston Metro Lodge #98 for their 2012 Annual Children’s Easter Basket Program.
