Unicoi Systems Powers M4x VoIP Solution from Raven Electronics: InstaVoIP Expands Trusted Telecommunications Provider’s Capabilities
Atlanta, GA, March 27, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Unicoi Systems, Inc. (Unicoi), a leading provider of Voice over IP (VoIP) solutions to the embedded device market, is proud to announce another InstaVoIP™-powered customer success story. Raven Electronics’ M4x platform needed a VoIP solution and Raven was able to quickly integrate Unicoi’s InstaVoIP Module’s software and hardware to meet this customer demand.
InstaVoIP Module’s software is a combination of Unicoi’s cross-platform InstaVoIP Embedded solution plus the industry-leading Fusion TCP/IP stack, Fusion HTTP Server, a FAT32 file system, all hardware drivers and a user-customizable Web-based configuration application, all running on the lightweight Fusion RTOS. The hardware is built around the powerful Analog Devices’ Blackfin® DSP and includes an Ethernet connection, 4 MB of Flash, 16MB of SDRAM, and a 96 kHz-capable stereo audio codec. Out-of-the-box, InstaVoIP Module is immediately capable of creating 5-way conference calls using the G.729 codec and still has enough free processing power to run user applications.
“We are excited that Raven Electronics has entrusted Unicoi with the task of providing for their VoIP needs. InstaVoIP Module was created for products such as the M4x series, and we are happy to see clients taking advantage of it,” said Scott Simmons, VP of Sales and Marketing at Unicoi Systems.
Raven’s M4x (“multi-market, mixed-media, next generation”) technology gives engineers the ability to quickly design communications solutions. The basis of M4x technology is the capacity to mix different media types within a single communication system. Raven’s set of M4x hardware and software tools facilitate the design of simple to complex communications solutions that might otherwise require multiple products from multiple vendors. And by incorporating InstaVoIP Module from Unicoi Systems, Raven was able to further expand the scope of M4x to include VoIP.
