Content Hangover Article Directory Gets Rid of Monthly Fee in 2012
ContentHangover.com, an article directory for Internet marketers, recently became a free website for article marketing authors.
Trenton, OH, March 27, 2012 --(PR.com)-- ContentHangover.com, an article directory for Internet marketers, recently became a free website for article marketing authors. Originally, the company offered their website to potential authors for a $1.99 per month.
Creator and co-founder, Michael Grisso, was asked about the change. He replied; "We have always intended to keep our authors happy, and if they want a free article directory then we want to offer this benefit to them." So why would Content Hangover charge a fee in the first place?
After a long discussion, Michael went into great detail about the advantages of charging a fee. He said; "By charging a small fee per month, our goal was to eliminate any spam articles that hit our website. This would allow our editing team to focus on the serious writers who were trying to promote their websites and blogs the right way. Also, we were going to use a portion of that money to hold a $100 drawing for our authors. Just a little extra money someone could win each month."
Content Hangover struggled in 2011. According to Mr. Grisso, the site went through some serious programming problems and hosting issues. Instead of pushing forward, the staff took their time developing a better site for authors and readers alike. Michael said their original Alexa ranking was around 27 million when the site was released on September 2, 2011. By the middle of the month it was up to 2 million, but hosting configurations created problems for the site.
Now that Content Hangover is a free article directory, Michael believes more authors will create accounts in the upcoming months. Mr. Grisso also stated, Content Hangover's goal is to reach an Alexa ranking of fewer than 1 million before their 1 year domain anniversary on May 24th.
