The GA Music Awards Announces Its 2012 Nominations for Female R&B Nominee, Tocarra Hamilton

Atlanta, GA, May 16, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Tocarra Hamilton’s sweet and sexy voice is ushering in the next generation of soulful R&B. It’s 2012 and her time has come. Her presence alone commands the attention of any room she enters. It’s clear and apparent at first listen and sight that there is no one like her.

Her resume is extensive. With all that she has accomplished, it’s hard to believe, she’s an independent artist. Tocarra is an outstanding writer and has received recognition for her writing abilities by ASCAP (ASCAP Writers Session Live). She was the 3rd Place National Contender in the Budweiser Superfest Talent Search; she has toured the US, opening up for national acts like Jazmine Sullivan, Wale and Nicki Minaj and gracing stages like the Bronner Bros Hair Show. Tocarra was also recently recognized in the Who’s Who of Atlanta in Entertainment as the independent artist on the rise.

What’s Tocarra up to now? Her music will be heard on the upcoming “Love & HipHop Atlanta.” The show’s theme song, “No Love Here” with Rapper, Lil Scrappy was co-written and performed by none other than Tocarra and the song will also be Lil Scrappy’s single from his upcoming album. Tocarra is also currently taping for an upcoming show, “Addicted to Shoes” and continues to tour the US performing while building her brand.

Aside from music, Tocarra is also passionate about her work with youth and particularly young girls. In her role on the Board as Music Ambassador, Tocarra travels to Raliegh, North Carolina in support of the Music 4 Hope Foundation to give her time and talents to its fundraising efforts to support families with children facing Cancer and other life-threatening diseases. Tocarra will be performing at the Foundation for Special Needs Children charity event to lend her time and talents for this worthy cause.
