Active Risk Launches Global Survey on What Makes a Great Risk Career?

This follows the success of Active Risk’s previous research into the personality traits of great risk managers, which has become one of the most extensive studies into the profession to date, with 800 responses from risk professionals around the world.

The new "What Makes a Great Risk Career?" survey looks at why risk managers enter the profession, their educational background and previous work experience. The research also investigates whether risk professionals are being supported by their organizations with formal training programs and clear career paths.

Analysis showed that 20% of risk professionals are facing major stress, when just 2% of sales professionals fell into this category in a comparative study. Clearly organizations need to focus on the career and training needs of their risk professionals if they want to retain and develop teams that can make corporate risk initiatives effective at improving profitability and performance.”
