ECi RockSolid POS® and True Value® Enter Into 3-Year Agreement

Now more True Value retailers will be able to take advantage of the value RockSolid POS provides hardware dealers.

ECi RockSolid POS is a Preferred POS Vendor for True Value. With its combination of user-friendly interface, cutting-edge features and affordable pricing, RockSolid presents the best value proposition and return on investment compared to other systems available to retailers. Hardware retailers have relied on ECi technology solutions for more than 30 years and RockSolid accounts for the vast majority of point of sale (POS) system implementations among True Value retailers over the past 5 years.

True Value's Retail Systems Team has been driving adoption of its Preferred POS Vendors for five years. Because True Value's principal business is not software, it is moving back to a direct sales model where the Preferred POS Vendors sell directly to the retailer. To facilitate this, True Value has agreed to transfer the sales function to ECi Software Solutions. It will be more effective to have ECi RockSolid, with its robust, targeted sales group, sell directly both to the existing True Value RockSolid retailers, and to retailers not currently on a preferred system.

The biggest benefit to True Value retailers is that RockSolid selling direct gives them access to expanded product offerings for peripheral hardware and POS system software. Ultimately, a change in the selling financial model will lead to improved profitability for True Value.
